Pori Chamber Festival and Pori Sinfonietta are joining forces, with the festival’s artists performing as soloists with the orchestra at Promenadisali.
The joint All Stars concert by Pori Chamber Festival and Pori Sinfonietta was a huge hit last year and returns this spring! In this concert, the festival’s artists will take the stage in front of the orchestra.
The soloists include Stefan Kavén, concertmaster of the second violins of Pori Sinfonietta, and Saara Kemppi, principal oboist; we will also hear Pasi Raukola on the accordion and the singing of the versatile vocalist Laura Ruusumaa. Laura Ruusumaa won the Finnish verion of the tv-show Voice, and astounded audiences with her ability to sing both classical arias and pop music.
The program features a diverse selection of works, ranging from Juha Leinonen’s electric violin concerto to Mozart’s Queen of the Night aria. The concert will be conducted by Erkki Lasonpalo, chief conductor of the Pori Sinfonietta.
