The artistic director for the 2027 Pori Chamber Festival has been chosen! Behind the musical vision for the upcoming festival is accordionist Pasi Raukola.
The general public will remember Raukola as the silver medalist in the 2007 Golden Accordion competition. Since then, he has settled in Satakunta and works as a lecturer in accordion playing at the Palmgren Conservatory.
Outside of his teaching work, he is particularly known for his skillful arrangements, which have been heard at, among other events, previous Pori Chamber festivals. Arrangements for the accordion are especially close to his heart, and he has performed them diligently.
Raukola has also served as chairman of the Finnish Accordion Association since 2026.
